Each team that plays in the Sask Alta Hockey League will abide and be governed by the league constitution and their amendments.
Each team that pays league fees on schedule, is entitled to play in the Sask Alta Hockey League, and will be known as an active team.
Each active team will have a Representative at meetings, and each active team will have 1 (one) vote.
Application for play in the Sask Alta Hockey League by new clubs must be made prior to the Annual Fall Meeting. A majority vote of all active teams will be required for acceptance.
A Performance Bond of $3000.00 (Three Thousand Dollars) shall be paid to the Sask Alta HockeyLeague by any team accepted into the League prior to playing in the League. After 3 (three) consecutive years of play, a team will be re-imbursed the amount that will equal the balance paid by exsisting teams.
Teams must notify Sask Alta Hockey League, in writing, of a leave of absence, no later than the Annual Schedule Meeting of current year.
Voting privileges of teams on a leave of absence will be forfeited until the next Annual Fall Meeting and becoming an active team.
Teams requesting a leave of absence or folding after the Schedule Meeting will forfeit all (100%) of their performance bond.
League fees will be set yearly at the Annual Fall Meeting, and forwarded to the League Secretary Treasurer, as per the payment schedule set at the Annual Fall Meeting.
President and Vice – President receive game passes. These passes are valid for Regular season play, and Playoffs.
An active team will be fined $200.00 (Two Hundred Dollars) if a representative does not attend a meeting called by the President, or Board of Directors. This fine will be charged only if clause 2.11 is abused without valid reason.
Any money that is owed to the Sask Alta Hockey League will be deducted from that team’s Performance Bond. The Performance Bond must be replenished to be an Active Member, and to continue playing in the League.
